Abstract
Corine Land Cover Changes 2006-2012 is a map of the changes in Irish environmental landscape between 2006 and 2012, based on revised Corine 2006 database. It is based on EU devised Corine (Coordination of Information on the Environment) specifications.

To compile geo-spatial environmental information in a standardised and comparable manner across the European continent

Statement
The Corine Land Cover inventory is based on satellite images as the primary information source. The CLC06_IE database was revised to create CLC06rev_IE database and it was used as the baseline for the interpretation of land cover change of areas larger than 5 hectares between 2006 and 2012. Change polygons were then recoded to represent the land cover status of the given polygon as interpreted from the 2012 imagery. During the delineation of the changes linear features smaller than 100m wide are not considered and generalised.
